Description
The Cordall Permanent Connector allows a ‘locked’ connection of the cord to create various formations – loops, circles, or the joining of two cords. The permanent connector is supplied with two locking blocks (1 per side). See below for installation instructions.
These connectors are compatible with 6mm and 8mm bungee cords or braided cord – allowing multiple options for use.
Made from UV resistant and highly durable 6/6 nylon. Built tough to last in a farming, viticulture, horticulture, marine or transport setting. The ideal choice for a connection that cannot be tampered with or altered. Popular with fabricators, canvas style goods, cover/screen installations in a public setting to avoid the tension being altered.
Designed and made in New Zealand.
How to use your Permanent Connector
The Permanent Connector is supplied with two locking blocks (1 for each side). To insert the locking block:
- Thread Bungee cord through the tube and hold Bungee with some inward pressure on both sides to form a loop in the Bungee inside the fitting.
- Pull up the formed loop through the slot in the top.
- Insert the locking block and pull the cord while pressing down with your thumb. The cord is now set in place.
- Note – this will lock into place in a solid and permanent fashion so ensure you have it in the correct location before locking the locking block down.
Creating a fixed loop:
- Thread the cord through the tube on one side of the fitting, until enough cord is available to make desired loop and then thread the end through the tube on the other side and fix in place with locking blocks.
Creating a running loop or noose
- Fix only the end on one side of the fitting with a locking block and leave out the locking block on the return, leaving the loop free to run.
Joining two cords:
- Attach one cord to the Connector by threading through the tube on one side and locking in place with block. Attach the second cord by repeating on the opposite side.
